Victor Smolski is a metal guitarist of the modern kind and is one of the world’s best in his guild. His guitar play has everything it needs: technique, sound and attitude. All of this must also have its signature amp: Pound, Attack and Low End, that’s scary. The amp draws its power from four 6L6GC Tubes in the poweramp stage. The amp is tuned to everything from balladic clean moments to thundering reef thunderstorms and sizzling solos. Each two Channels share an EQ, the mid-voiced function affects all four channels, but can be refined in channels 3 and 4 by means of potentiometers. With “Depth Punch” there is an extra portion of low end in the poweramp stage - chunky as can be! So much power wants to be tamed, we have even deviated from the ENGL-typical front grille and have instead used hand-welded chains. The Snakeskin optic does the rest to make the E646 a purebred Metalamp. Not for nothing is directly above the input jack “Straight To Hell” …
