James Tyler JTG FR Floyd Rose - Molten Iron
James Tyler Design Mastery Meets Double-Locking Tremolo Performance
Hiendguitar is proud to feature the JTG Guitars MK1 FR. Evolving directly from James Tyler’s renowned JTG MK1 model, the MK1 FR combines boutique California luthiery with aggressive hardware upgrades engineered for high-demand gigging and studio players.
Dressed in Tyler's iconic, this MK1 FR variant upgrades the standard MK1 platform with an aggressive, recessed black Floyd Rose tremolo and locking nut. Paired with non-locking tuners at the headstock, the double-locking system guarantees flawless return-to-pitch stability under extreme whammy manipulation, deep dive-bombs, and wide vibrato execution without sacrificing natural body resonance.
The Standard 64 Neck & High-Grade Ergonomics
Designed around effortless playability across all 22 frets, the MK1 FR features the sought-after Standard 64 neck shape (measuring .825" depth at the 1st fret and .950" at the 12th fret). Replacing the traditional Thin 59 shape, the Standard 64 delivers slightly fuller shoulder support for reduced hand fatigue during complex chord passages while maintaining a slick, fast feel for rapid lead work.
